Chalkboard Spice Jars

This cute little project is a cheap simple update to do for your kitchen!  I got the idea from and followed the directions from Raising Up Rubies.

I don't have that many spices in my house to begin with {I'm not a big cooker}, so I only made 6 spice jars.  I bought a set of twelve 4oz jelly jars from Bed, Bath, and Beyond for 10$!  Walmart and Target have them as well, but my Walmart was all out!  They must be popular.
I got chalkboard spray paint and the aqua spray paint {obviously, choose any color you want!} from Walmart for 3$ and some change.  Hobby Lobby had multicolored chalk pieces for 1$ but writing with chalk on a small space is more difficult {and unattractive!} than you would think.  I'll be searching for a chalk marker in the near future.
Just spray a couple coats of any color on the outer metal lid of the jars {mine took quite a few coats!} I only had to spray 2 coats of the chalkboard spray on the metal middle part of the lids.  I let all the pieces dry overnight and then put them back on the jars!

Y'all…I really need a better camera.  I also need to get some cute little scoops to get the spices out with!

    1. Veronica,
The center of the lid is comes apart from the part that screws onto the jar so that you can paint just that center piece!
Sorry for the late response...hope this helps!
